Our egg layer flock is all business—with a protective Black Copper Maran rooster keeping an eye on mostly ISA Browns and Gold Comets. These hens don’t fuss about looks or fancy markings—they just lay, and keep laying, even through early winter when everyone else is molting and taking a break. Breeders have to be practical too, and these girls are proof that reliability has a place over ornamentation at times!
